Major is already showing good improvement and focus with his training! We love seeing him grow each session. He only grabbed at the lead a few times but a quick "uh-uh" and he would let the trainer take it out.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: For his first session we worked on Major's sit skill. He follows his lure easily into it and we were able to build good duration in it (having him hold the skill until released with "break"). He did bark at the other dogs in the classroom quite a bit during this session so we also started building his "search" skill (scattering treats on the floor as a distraction) - this is a great alternative for these behaviours.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his second session we worked on the basics of drop with Major. He was able to do several drops from a sit so we started working on luring him into the drop from a stand. He didn't quite get there but did progress from curling hos head under his body to more moving his body back which is a step in the right direction. At home practice this by luring him from his nose slowly down join between his front legs to his belly from a standing position.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For the last session we went over his place skill. Major has built some good foundations in this skill now and we were able to work on both his duration and starting distractions. He did so well today and stayed on place while the trainer took a few steps back from the bed. Keep working on this skill at home, he seems to really like it!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
