Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In her first session, Lucy focused on relaxing within the classroom environment, using treats and pats. Lucy displayed nervous behaviors within the classroom environment, to help her relax the trainer used high value treats and pats. As the session progressed Lucy began to take treats and slowly relax within the classroom. Next session we hope she is more confident. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In her second session, Lucy was relaxed and taking treats, to help further condition the classroom environment the trainers focused on charging her reward marker 'yes'. Lucy performed well, as the session progressed, she began to respond to the verbal marker 'yes' before food was presented (looking at the trainer). We suggest continuing to practise this at home. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In her final session, Lucy focused on learning the new skill 'place' focusing on relaxation around a high distracting environment (multiple dogs training within the classroom). We focused on this skill to build her impulse control and duration. Lucy performed very well, she continued to perform well despite the high distractions. Lucy showed good duration while on place, but can struggle with distance and distractions. We suggest continue to practise this skill at home. Focus: Conditioning B
