Lucy was a lovely girl to work with! She was very happy and excitable throughout the day and made some good progress on building up her obedience skills. We would like to book a private session to look at getting her ready for group classes shortly!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her first session we worked on Lucy's loose lead skill in the classroom. Lucy was a bit distracted by another dog in the room but quickly re-engaged with the trainer. As she showed very little loose lead skill we went back to basics and luring to teach her where we wanted her to be. Initially she would wander a bit off and jump each time for treats but as the session progressed she calmed a little and focused a bit better. At home practice loose lead around the house with lots of treats to keep her next to you and focused.||Focus: Back to Basics||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her second session we worked on the drop skill with Lucy. Lucy needs a low hand signal but otherwise quite willingly goes into drop. She had poor duration at the start of the session but as we progressed her duration became much better and she was holding it until released. She can get easily distracted so just work on having her hold drop and start with low distractions (taking a step away etc).||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For her last session we worked on the place skill. Lucy was a little hesitant to go on the bed at the start but after a minute she was happily following lures and then a hand signal onto place. We started building some duration and taking a single step back - she followed the trainer the first few times but after being led back on the bed she started staying on it. She is a very smart girl and progresses so quickly in her skills!||Focus: Foundation||B+|
We recommend your next step should be…

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
