Louie's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Play Comment: We had some fun with tug and “out” this session. While he does often let go of the toy when you ask for a skill we wanted to work on his “out” so you have both options. He did fairly well, we practiced at different levels of arousal. He did struggle to let go when he was very excited, but we waited him out - making the toy as “dead” as possible. He did improve throughout the session. We didn’t ask for any skills in between play, we were simply working on “get it” and “out.” Focus: Manners B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session we practiced some place training in the play pen near LOTS of very high energy noisy dogs! We started with some quick repetitions to keep him occupied but then slowly transitioned to duration, allowing him to look around and just watch. He did really well, he only got a bit antsy when the dog closest to us started barking but he never broke his position! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: We worked on his drop skill outside for this session. Focusing on reinforcing calm behaviour. We worked closely to the kennels so he could see some dogs. He did lose focus as we got closer initially so we gradually decreased the distance, only getting closer when he was paying full attention to the trainer. He did well today, he is choosing to make calmer/better decisions more often. Focus: Distraction C+

We recommend your next step should be…
