Louie's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-02-01

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Louie’s first session we worked on his drop skill. Focusing on his calmness and less vocalisation (his sassy pants), he was a lot calmer coming out of the kennels today. Louie does like to bark when going into position but was able to settle faster today, holding his drop with toy distractions and working close by to another dog. Occasionally he defaulted to a sit but was easily redirected to a drop by saying uh uh. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Exposure Comment: Louie’s second session we had some art week fun! Working on some conditioning around the paws and finishing with a lick painting! Louie likes to nibble on the treats instead of licking at the peanut butter but started to get the hang of it by the end of the session and was so proud of his art work! We also did a paw painting at the end of the session as Louie was more relaxed with the trainer playing with his paws! Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: In Louie’s final session we worked on some middles, send to place and “out”. Using a couple of skills helps keep Louie engaged and makes the training fun. His send to place is solid, being able to do it on different objects and at different distances. He can be a bit cheeky with his middles but his out command has improved lots! Only a couple of times it took him longer than a few seconds/kept trying to play! Keep up the good work at home! Focus: Obedience B

We recommend your next step should be…
