|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Loki’s first session was a loose lead walk in the paddock. It’s good to get those different distractions for him. He did pull at the start and tried to walk in front of the trainer. The trainer continued to go back the other way and before long Loki settled. He still pulled ahead at times and the trainer used uh uh to remind Loki how he needed to walk. This is something the trainer will continue to work with Loki on this, in different surroundings.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Loki’s second session was drop in the cattery. Once again this was hard for him and he was breaking a lot of the time. The trainer worked with Loki to help him hold position more and towards the end of the session the trainer was able to walk around the cattery without Loki moving. Next time it will be good to work towards Loki not breaking position at all.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Loki’s last session the trainer worked a little more on his bow trick. Once he focuses he does well with this and the trainer managed to fade out the lure and started adding the verbal que. the last part of the session was loose lead walking again. The trainer walked Loki up and down the driveway. He tried to pull a number of times especially to the prized wine barrel. By the end of the session Loki was able to walk without pulling towards that. Next time it would be good to see him not pull at all to the barrel||Focus: Repetition||D+|
