|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Loki’s first session was loose lead walking. The trainer took him to a different part of the property and he did really well. He pulled a little at the start but soon settled and happy to sniff while walking well on loose lead. On the way back he did pull a little and the trainer kept changing directions and once again he settled well. Trainer was very impressed with Loki and his walking this morning.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: The next session was drops with distractions in the kennels. Loki was extremely distracted and would not drop at all. The trainer persevered for a little and then went outside and although he was still distracted he did start to drop on command. Definitely something we need to focus a bit more on going forward!||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: Loki’s final session was to be work on bow. However he was so distracted by smells in the classroom he didn’t want treats. Even when the trainer moved to a part of the classroom where no dogs had been yet he still refused to take treats and engage with the trainer. The trainer tried a few different things but Loki refused to engage. At this point the trainer decided the obstacle course was probably the best thing. Although he did go around a few times he was still disinterested in treats. Although he sometimes takes awhile to engage the trainer has not seen him like this before. Next time it would be good to find something Loki is really keen and try different ways to get his focus.||Focus: Repetition||X|
