|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his first session, Lochie focused on learning the new skill 'place' with repetitions and distractions (training outside). We focused on this skill to build his duration and impulse control. lochie performed very well, he happily went on and off the bed, remaining engaged with his trainer despite the distractions. The trainer was very impressed with how well he performed.||Focus: Foundation||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his second session, Lochie focused on further developing his skill 'drop' with duration and distractions (training outside with three other dogs in close proximity). We focused on this skill to build his impulided duration and relaxing around other dogs. Lochie knows the drop command well but can struggle with duration while in drop. The trainer slowly encouraged him to stay in drop with regular treats. Lochie remained in drop even when the trainer was moving around. We suggest to continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: In his final session, Lochie focused on building his confidence with 'paws up' on different objects. We focused on this skill to help build his confidence. Lochie performed well, he was initially hesitant to interact with the balance cushion. But with some guidance he began to touch it with one paw. Slowly Lochie began to touch the cushion with both paws. We suggest continuing to work on building his confidence at home.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
