|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her first session, Lexi focused on further developing her skill 'drop' with repetition under distractions (training outside while cars and people go past). We focused on this skill to build Lexi's impulse control surrounding cars. Lexi performed very well, she was initially distracted in this environment but redirected her focus quickly. Once engaged Lexi shows a good basic knowledge of 'drop', she responds well to the verbal cue and has great duration. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home and when further conditioning cars.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In her second session, Lexi focused on further developing her skill 'send to place' with repetitions under distraction (training outside in close proximity to Dexter). Lexi performed very well, she can become distracted by the environment (grass and birds) but redirected her focus quickly. She successfully went to place while the trainer was several meters away from the bed.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session Lexi focused on learning the new skill 'bell' with repetitions within the classroom. We focused on this skill to challenge her with shaping and problem solving. Lexi performed very well, she interacted with the bell straight away (touching it with her nose). In no time Lexi was smashing the bell with her paw. The trainer was very impressed with how quickly she learnt this skill.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Lexi was challenged with remaining on passive place while the trainer was working with Dexter. Lexi initially broke place once, but she quickly began to maintain it well. She successfully remained on place for 15 minutes without breaking.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Lexi was challenged with remaining in passive drop while the trainer worked with Dexter, Lexi performed very well. She did struggle when another trainer walked into the classroom, but with some guidance she began to maintain it well.||Focus: Duration||B|
