|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Lexi began her day with her ‘skateboard’ skill, focusing on duration. Lex is so confident in stepping onto the board, but struggles with staying on long enough to push herself as well. She will push herself 1 step before hopping off, although that is great, we really want her to be able to push herself for longer. The trainer worked on pushing the board with her on it for a bit and she responded well to this, and by the end of the session she was able to push herself for multiple steps! Super proud Lex!! Keep up this work at home.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Lexi’s next session was focused on a new skill, ‘sit pretty’. This skill is where we have the dog in a sit and hold a treat over their nose and lure them to lift up their front paws. Lexi did really well! She did have a bit of trouble keeping her bum on the ground and would sometimes stand on her hind legs. If she were to do this, the trainer would use her non-reward marker and asked her to try again. She is very clever and seems to be liking this new skill!! Make sure to keep up with this at home so she can progress!!||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To finish Lexi’s day, we introduced her to the ‘ring toss’ trick. The trainer began with getting her familiarised with the ring and just rewarding her for mouthing it. Lexi got heavily rewarded whenever she held it in her mouth, which was once or twice. The aim of this trick is for your doggo to be able to place the ring on the stick stand. Keep practicing just getting her to hold it at home!! She is doing so well. Awesome work today!||Focus: Foundation||C+|
