Lexi seemed a little bit flat today. She was still performing her skills but without enthusiasm. Lexi lacked engagement however this may be due to the warmer weather.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Lexis first session we worked on her loose leash skill. Lexi did well in this session and barely applied tension to the leash. We worked on multiple change of directions and different distractions (dogs and human) the only time Lexi had an issue was when people were close by. Overall a very good session from Lexi.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For Lexis second session we worked on her place skill. Lexi seemed a little reluctant during this session but after a few repetitions and high verbal praise Lexi perked up and became more engaged. This skill can be worked on at home woth a raised bed. Practice while watching TV - when your tv show is on she must stay on place, when ads are on she can be released and have some fun.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Lexis final session we worked on her drop skill. Lexi did well during this session and seemed more engaged. Lexi is still at a stage where she requires hand and very cues to complete a solid drop so we worked on repetitions and slowly taking away the hand signal. Lexi did a good job with this and we decided to challenge her by moving into the cattery. Lexi struggled in the different environment but still completely the skill 70% of the time. We moved back to the classroom to complete the session and she did this very well. I would like to see this skill worked on with lexi around the house. The front and backyard once she is completing the skill happily inside the house.||Focus: Repetition||B|
