|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Lexi focused on further developing her skill 'loose lead walking' with repetitions under high distraction (training outside). Lexi was initially distracted by the environment and showed little engagement, but with some guidance she began to redirect her focus and perform well. She successfully remind engaged with her trainer despite cars driving past. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her second session, Lexi focused on further developing her skill 'drop' with duration under distractions (training outside with three dogs training in close proximity as well as ball and human movement). We focused on this skill to build her impulse control. Lexi performed very well, she broke drop once when the trainer began to roll tennis balls past her, but with some guidance she began to maintain it well. She successfully remained in drop while a bucket of 50 toys was thrown around her. We suggest continuing to challenge her with 'drop' at home.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To further develop her impulse control, Lexi focused on learning the new skill 'leave it' with repetitions. Lexi performed very well, she quickly recognised when she ignored the low value treats, a higher value treat is presented. She successfully ignored the low value treats in the trainers hand several times, the trainer was very impressed with how quick a she learnt this skill. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||A|
