Leroy the Birthday Boy!'s Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Leroy's first session worked on his Loose Lead skill. He was very excited when coming out of the kennels but displayed really good door manners! The trainer would wait at the door and without prompting he would drop and the would not walk out the door until released. Out in the carpark he was easily distracted so we went back to basics, going back and fourth when pulling ahead which assisted with redirecting his attention. Once Leroy was more settled he did really well on lead and the trainer was able to distract him and regain attention when seeing other dogs and people. Great progress Leroy! Focus: Back to Basics B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: We challenged Leroy's drops today and he smashed it! He does not physically engage with the handler (looks at) but will perform when a command is given. We started out in the grass with dog distractions nearby and even though he seemed more interested in them, as soon as he was told 'drop' in a voice he could hear; he did it! We tested this in the kennels where we are full and I was so proud of him listening and redirecting his attention to the skill at hand, Great work buddy! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Leroy's last session we had a bit of Birthday Fun!! It started with a photo shoot, Birthday Biscuit and then a session of play (red light green light). Leroy responded really well to getting all revved up and settling down almost immediately. Happy birthday Leroy! Focus: Obedience B+
