Leroy had a fun day today even with all the crazy weather changes! We worked on a mix of obedience and fun tricks to work his brain.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: After a quick photoshoot woth our Aus day setup we worked on some loose lead outside on the grass area. Leroy did good walking but wasn't very engaged with the trainer which meant he was a little slow on some of the turns. The environment didn't distract him much but he would get distracted anytime he saw a staff member in the distance (he just loves the attention from staff!).
|Skill learnt: Middle Position
|Comment: For his second session we worked on the middles skill. Leroy can be a bit hit or miss with this skill - sometimes he can be lured straight into it and other times he keeps going to the side or being distracted. Once in middles he can walk around with a lure but can sometimes shoot ahead and come out of middles early. At one point he got very distracted by a cat he could see in the cattery so it was difficult to recapture his focus (no barking or lunging, just fixated).
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)
|Comment: For his last session we worked on the paws up skill as something fun for Leroy. Leroy was a bit unsure of what was wanted, while he did put one paw on a few times accidentally he was instead trying to paw at the trainer for most of the attempts. He did keep up a good effort but this skill hasn't quite clicked for him just yet.
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
