|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Leroy focused on further developing his skill loose lead around the pet retreat facility. Leroy was initially excited to be training and struggled to engage with his trainer. The trainer utilized his known skill of drop to help him relax and redirect his focus. Leroy performed well, he began to relax and show good engagement. He showed good knowledge of his skill drop, despite the high distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his second session, Leroy focused on further developing his skill place around multiple dogs within the classroom (two dogs training, one dog walking in and out and three dogs in crates he could see). We focused on this skill to assess his reactivity and issues settling. Leroy performed very well, he showed a great understanding of the skill place, running straight to the bed. Once on place he settles quickly and lies down. He showed no signs of reactivity towards the other dogs in this session.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his final session, Leroy focused on further developing his skill drop with duration under distractions (dogs within classroom). Leroy responds well to the verbal cue drop and shows good duration. The trainer challenged him with performing this skill in close proximity to another dog. Leroy continued to perform very well despite the challenging environment.||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Leroy was challenged with remaining on place for 30 minutes while the trainer work with another dog. Leroy performed perfectly, he was calm and relaxed for the duration and did not break place.||Focus: Duration||A|
