Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: First session Leena worked on her sit pretty trick. She is showing good progress with this but can get quite excited and begin pawing/scratching at the trainers arms. This session focused on slowly luring her to help build up calmness and focus more in this skill. Only rewarding her for doing the skill when not using her paws for balance. She began to pick this up fast but will need some more practise. Focus: Conditioning C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Leenas second session we headed into the cattery to work on her loose lead and drops. This session turned into a conditioning session as leena was quite hesitant and unsure in this new environment and reluctant to take treats, we walked around to help her get used to this new environment before focusing on drop duration. She was quite unsure of the birds but began to focus on her trainer. We finished up with some confidence building going up and down a flight of stairs in the Cattery. Leena was quite confident going up but going down was a bit more of a challenge but with lots of encouragement she made her way down. Focus: Desensitisation X
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: For Leenas final session we worked on her spin! She is getting quite good at this and we are beginning to fade out the lure to just moving our hand around and saying spin. She still is 100% reliable and needs a slow hand movement to help her out but is showing great progress and can do multiple spins one after they other! Focus: Repetition B
