Leena's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-03-01

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session we worked Leena next to Poppy with loose lead with just a fence between them. Initially Leena did have a few pulls towards Poppy but was easily redirected. By the end she was walking past without any issue and keeping engagement with the trainer. She was more distracted when Jess walked past than she was with Poppy! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For her second session we worked on the paws up skill with a focus on putting each front paw on a different pod. Leena took a while to settle enough for this skill, she was so high energy and excitable she kept missing the point of the skill. Once she started slowing down and thinking it through she showed more improvement in the skill and was able to do it properly a number of times. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Crate Training Comment: For her last session we worked on sending Leena in and out of the crate. The first few reps we had to throw treats in there otherwise she'd start turning away but after that we were able to send her to the crate from a lead distance with just pointing and the verbal cue. If she is making a game out of this at home look at doing some training on lead before putting her in the crate and putting her in there on lead so she can't run around and make a game of it. Focus: Distance B

We recommend your next step should be…
