Lee Lee's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we took Lee Lee next door to the Pony Club oval to work on his loose lead. His loose lead itself was pretty good but he did lack some engagement with the trainer. He was also quite distracted by some other dogs walking but was able to hold his drop as they moved past. We also did a few small recalls over obstacles - he recalled well but didn't quite hit the mark with his finish position (would run a bit past the trainer before stopping). Keep rewarding for check ins on walks and building up a finish position for recalls (either sit, drop or middles works well!). Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For his second session we continued work on his middles skill in the classroom. We started off doing it from a sit to make it easier and then moving to having him walking around and then luring into middles. By the end he was quite good at following the lure though the trainer had to sometimes use their legs to stop him walking all the way through to remind him to stop between the legs. His final attempt he went into middles and into the sit by himself with a small lure which is great! His duration in middles is really good as well so keep working on getting him into the skill (and stopping!). Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Ring a Bell Comment: For his last session we worked on having Leroy ring the ship bell in the classroom. He took a few attempts to start interacting with it (and did try his paws a few times) but we were able to get him to touch the rope several times with his mouth. Still working on getting him to grab it properly but it's something he hasn't practiced in a while so we can build it back up over Dayschools. Focus: Repetition C+
