|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her first session, lady focused on further developing her skill 'drop' with distraction (training outside next to the classroom). Lady initially struggled to engage with her trainer as she was too distracted by the environment, this caused her to break drop several times. With some guidance she slowly began to redirect her focus and perform well. Once engaged Lady performed very well, she had good duration under high distractions. Next time we would like to see Lady show engagement with her trainer earlier in the session and not break drop despite distractions. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: In her second session, we focused on further developing her skill 'spin' with repetitions under distractions (training within the cattery). We focused on this skill to further develop her recall. Lady performed very well, she has a great spin but can struggle when in different and high distracting environments. With some guidance she quickly began to redirect her focus. We suggest continuing to practise this at home.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session, Lady focused on learning the new skill 'Middle' with repetitions within the classroom. We focused on this skill to help build engagement and a good recall. Lady performed well, she followed a lure into the correct position and had good duration. This lure was slowly faded as she was performing so well. Next time we hope to begin adding the verbal cue ‘middle’. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
