|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her first session we worked on Lady's loose lead outside with added drops and spins. Lady did absolutely fantastic at this today - she didn't pull once and listened well to the additional cues. The only thing that stops her from getting an A+ is that she was a little hesitant with a few of the emergency drops but otherwise was perfect for this session. Well done Lady! Next time we'd like to see her keep her amazing focus with a higher level of distractions and making a more difficult course to walk through. Keep up the great work at home with her and continue rewarding for good engagement.||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her second session we continued outside with some emergency drop practice with another dog as a distraction. Lady did really well and was less hesitant to go into her drops this time. We even worked on increasing the pace and asking her to drop which she did well with. As she wasn't very fussed about the other dog we added some food distractions. She broke the first few times food was thrown near her and then stayed in her drop afterwards which is good progress. Next time we'd like to see her stay in drop with increased food distractions. At home use bits of food as a distraction while she goes into drops and while she stays in drop.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For her final session we worked on Lady's middles skill. She needed a bit of encouragement to come off of the bed at the start but quickly adjusted to following the lure into middles. Lady is quite good once in middles and follows a lure forward and backwards with the trainer while staying between the legs. Next time we'd like to push the skill a bit further and start phasing out lures as she has a good understanding of the skill already. At home use lures to practice her middles skill and practice moving with her staying in between the legs.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
