Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Lady's first session focused on loose lead walking to the Pony Club. Here there were multiple dog and people distractions and the trainer was impressed with Lady's engagement and choice of behaviour. Another dog started reacting towards Lady and she followed through with the trainers command 'drop'. From here we continued loose lead with drops and she did very well getting closer to the other dogs without reacting. Considering the environment was different and lots of new smells was present; she did really well. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: This session was at the Pony Club Oval again and we started added more spins to her loose lead walking to redirect her focus from other dogs. She loves this trick so it was a great way to redirect her focus. She still requires a hand signal to follow through but is doing it great around other stimuli! See our Instagram story for reference! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: We spent this session in one of the kennels play yards to work on her recall. She was initially distracted by all the smells and kennel dogs but with some encouragement (making weird noises) she recalled eventually. As the session progressed her recalls improved immensely. She understands what a recall is, she just chooses not to do it occasionally. To reduce this, recall her often through out the day and especially when out and about with her. More consistency with the recalls will assist with them improving. Focus: Back to Basics B

We recommend your next step should be…
