Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For her first session we worked on Lady's sit pretty skill. This skill is still very new to her and she is still developing her muscles and balance. The main focus of today was to get her to balance on her own without hanging onto the trainer. She did sometimes stand up on her back legs in a stand instead of a sit but did make good progress towards this skill. Next time we'd like to continue conditioning her muscles and balance to help her sit better. At home work on slow lures into a more upright sit after luring her into a sit. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Continuing on with her trick title skills we worked on Lady's roll over skill for her second session. I was really impressed with her effort on this one - it only took her a few goes to go from on her side to rolling all the way over which is fantastic! She is really switched on with this skill so we will be able to start labelling it soon and phase out the lure. Very proud of this girl! Next time we'd like to see the skill move a bit more smoothly and to start labelling it. At home practice this skill every now and then (we featured a short clip of her doing it on instagram stories if you need reference). Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For her last skill we continued work on Lady's hold skill. This is a great skill that can lead to a lot of different tricks and will be very beneficial for her next level of trick titles. Lady is getting better at holding it for longer so the focus was on having her hold it for 2-3 seconds. She did improve with her duration over the session which is great. She was very engaged with the hose part an dlistened well to the trainer. Next time we'd like her to hold it for longer and to start labelling the skill. At home practice having her hold things in her mouth and slowly increase the duration. Focus: Duration B
