Lady did quite well today. We spent a large part of today focusing on her recall skill, starting with inside the classroom and moving outside. She did a bit of squealing when she saw the trainer in the kennel but after realising it wasn't going to be rewarded she didn't do it again throughout the day.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Today Lady practiced her outside loose lead with drops, with low distractions. She did very well and dropped when told. However, Lady was sometimes a little slow in dropping if she had found something good to sniff. In the future we would like to see Lady get less distracted by her smells and surroundings, so she is 100% focused on the commands and us.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: Lady worked on her ‘recall’ inside, with dog distractions for her second session. Lady responded well to this command whilst having another dog present, although sometimes she needed a little bit more encouragement if she had found a new smell in the classroom. We want Lady to continue progressing in this skill so she is able to come when called, no matter what the situation or distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: To finish, Lady practiced her ‘recall’ skill again, outside, with mild distractions. She was successful majority of the time in returning when called, but other times she needed a “uh uh” to get her back on track. Same as stated above, once she had a good smell on something, it was harder to gain her attention. We want to push Lady further with this skill so she is able to come exactly when called.||Focus: Distraction||B|
