Lady performed well today, she showed good engagement throughout the day and minimal reactivity. When she does react it is more common when she is in her crate (not controlled position). Helping reduce this at home is going to be managing the environment and continue conditioning her to dogs while at dayschool.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In her first session, Lady focused on further conditioning to other dogs while working on her loose lead and drop skills. Lady completed this skill in the car park while another dog practised loose lead nearby. Lady ignored the dog for the whole session, she showed good engagement and responded well to the drop command. She can be slow to get into drop but overall performed well.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her second session, Lady continued to work on further conditioning to other dogs while practising her drops in and around the kennel area. Lady performed well, she was initially distracted and showed little engagement. However, while practising her drop she began to redirect her focus onto the trainer and perform well. Lady ignored several dogs barking around her throughout this session. She did bark once when she was startled by another dog barking at her, when asked for a drop she quickly stops and redirects her attention onto the trainer.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: In her final session, the trainer focused on conditioning Lady to dogs while she was in the crate. Throughout the day Lady showed minimal dog reactivity while training, however, she can react while in her crate (as she is not in a controlled position). During this session, multiple dogs walked pasted her crate, the trainer was rewarding her when she does not react. This will help condition Lady to dogs while not in a controlled position.||Focus: Conditioning||C|
