Krishna's engagement was unreal! He seemed incredibly focused today and we had a lot of fun!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: Krishna seemed to be much more relaxed when it came to the muzzle. He immediately knew how to hold his nose in position and was happy to keep it there. From here we put him on ‘place ‘and clipped the muzzle around his head, rewarded, removed, rewarded and clipped back on and so forth. Once relaxed and the trainer felt comfortable, we increased the duration of having the muzzle on his head. After a few markers and rewards, Krishna had no trouble relaxing and keeping the muzzle on at all time, even had a snooze with it on! At home, it will be great to continue getting Krishna use to having the muzzle clipped on. Even though he was calm and relaxed having it on, it’s a great habit to add to the routine so it can be utilised when needed. Again, clip the muzzle on, reward and keep increasing his duration of having it on. Next session we would love to see Krishna do all his training sessions with the muzzle on!||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: We played the same game to practice our recall. It really seems to engage Krishna and he has a lot of fun! Once again, treats were rolled to the left, name called, marked yes when returned and then another treat rolled the opposite direction. Krishna seemed to be incredibly focused and always checked in with the trainer which was great to see! He engaged so well playing this game and came when called at all times. Next time heading out into the outside environment with more distractions will be a great tester and to see if he engages just as well. Playing this at home will be so much fun, help Krishna engage well with you, strengthen the bond and practice recall, all while having fun!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: We next focused on our place training with dog distractions. This guy seriously had no problems remaining on place with dogs around him. He did incredibly well, although seemed interested and excited to see them, Krishna never broke from his position. However, if lots of excitement was coming from the other trainers, he would be super eager to be apart of it! In the next session it would be great to push the boundaries with people distractions with Krishna as this is what seems to really get him. Just like Vishnu, at home it will be great to test him with his place position and remaining calm while Vishnu is training around him. Use high rewards and lots of excitement to test those boundaries. Great job Krishna!!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
