Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we worked on Kong's loose lead in the carpark. Kong was very excited to be back in for training and did pull a bit when leaving the kennels. Once outside though he focused right back onto the trainer and gave excellent engagement throughout the session. As the ground was wet we didn't practice drops but we did work on spins which Kong smashed each time. He did a fantastic job though did pull ahead a bit again when heading to the classroom at the end of the session. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his second session we started off with some red light/green light drops to strengthen his drop skill. Kong loved playing with the trainer and he did really great work with his drops. He did tire quickly though so we spent the latter half of the session working on his bell skill. He still tries to drag it towards him so we focused on just having him ring the bell without moving it. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his last session we worked on the hold skill with Kong. He did try putting his nose through the loop and pawing at it for a bit before he understood we wanted him to bite on it. Once he understood he was really good with it and we were able to start with building a very short duration. Focus: Duration B
