Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his first session, Kong focused on learning the new skill skateboard within the classroom. We focused on this skill to challenge his problem-solving skills and have some fun. Kong performed well, he quickly followed a lure onto the skateboard. He placed his two front paws onto the skateboard while stationary. As he was progressing so well the trainer began to move the skateboard. He was initially unsure and jumped off, but quickly began to build confidence. Focus: Foundation B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his second session, Kong focused on further developing his skill bang within the classroom. Kong follows a lure well into the bang position (lying on his side), he also holds good duration until the trainer releases him with break. Throughout this session, the trainer focused on fading the lure into a hand signal. This progressed slowly but well as he began to follow a hand with no treats inside. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In his final session, Kong focused on further developing his skill drop, utilising the training game, red light green light. We focused on this skill to proof his drop while excited. Kong performed well, he enjoys his playtime while training and today was no exception. While playing the trainer asked him to drop, Kong stopped playing straight away and began to drop. This is a great skill to practise at home to further test his obedience skills. Focus: Obedience B+
