|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his first session, Kong focused on learning the new skill tunnel within the classroom. We focused on this skill to challenge him in small spaces and build his confidence around different objects. Kong performed very well, he interacted with the tunnel quickly, looking and sniffing at it. With some encouragement from the trainer, he began to walk through. By the end of the session, he was walking through all on his own.||Focus: Foundation||A|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his second session, Kong focused on developing his skill sit pretty within with classroom. We focused on this skill to challenge Kong with his balance and problem-solving skills. Sit pretty is where Kong is lured into the sit position and then lured up so the two front paws are off the ground. Kong followed a lure into this position, he even started to show good duration.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his final session, Kong focused on further developing his skill drop with duration under distractions. We focused on this skill as at times he can struggle to maintain his drop around people. Kong responds well to the drop cue but can struggle to hold duration. Today the trainer challenged him with human movement distractions (greetings) and food (building his impulse control). Kong initially struggled to hold his drop, but with some guidance from the trainer, he began to perform well. We would recommend continuing to practise this skill at home under a variety of distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
