Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Kong started off his day continuing to work on his ‘quoits’ trick, focusing on getting the ring onto the stand, and he did it!! He may have only done it once but he has progressed so much to the point where 90% of his attempts hit the stand! Keep practicing this skill at home so we can get 90% of his attempts to actually succeed! Awesome work, Kong! Focus: Repetition A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Next up, Kong worked on a new trick ‘roll out a blanket’. This is where the trainer used a yoga mat and as they rolled it up, they placed treats after each roll, so when Kong was brought to the mat, he would use his nose to unroll it and would receive a treat after each roll. At first he struggled, but the second time around he had much more understanding and speed! He is still only learning, but it is such a cute skill so keep practicing this at home! He may need a helping hand to notice where the treats are, but once he knows he is on a roll! So proud, Kong! Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To finish up, Kong worked on a brand new trick ‘figure 8’ as our trainers are pushing to get his intermediate trick title! As he is still learning, Kong is following a heavy lure through the trainers legs in a figure 8 motion. Kong is being reward each time he comes in between the trainers legs. Keep practicing this at home and let us know how you go!! Such good work today, Kong! Focus: Foundation B
