Kong was a very good boy today. He trains well alongside Mojo and smashed out his place skill today!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his first session we took Kong outside to do his loose lead alongside Mojo. Kong was really good at his loose lead - he only pulled a little at the start but settled into his walk very quickly. He had great focus on the trainer and didn't pay much attention to Mojo. His biggest distraction was walking past the fountain he loves to play in! (He did pull a few times towards it). Next time we'd like Kong to be able to do nice loose lead from the start and not be as distracted by the fountain. At home keep up the great work and keep rewarding him for good engagement particularly around Mojo.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his second session Kong worked on his drops around Mojo. Kong was quite good with his drops and with toy distractions. He did break a few times when an unfamiliar dog walked past so getting him exposed to other dogs will help to solidify his drop skill. He did also be a bit cheeky and would crawl towards the toys so getting him to stay stationary and have a better duration will help with this. Next time we'd like to see him less distracted and able to hold his drop better. At home practice around distractions such as food and toys while he holds his drop.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his final session we worked on Kong's send to place. He is so good at this! He was able to walk from a few metres away to his place without the trainer guiding him or walking with him which is absolutely fantastic. Next time we'd like to see Kong go to place on his own past distractions (such as food and toys) as I think this will be a great test for his skill level. Keep up the great work at home and continue sending him to place from different distances.||Focus: Distance||A|
