We've missed seeing Kong in Dayschools! He was so happy to be back and getting right into some obedience and trick training!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: For his first session we took Kong to the Pony Club oval to work on his loose lead. Kong was a bit distracted over there today - while his loose lead was pretty good he did have quite a few moments of pulling ahead. He did have some moments of good engagement but it would be good for him to go over his basics every now and then for Dayschool to keep them sharp.
|Skill learnt: Trick Training
|Comment: For his second session we worked on the back up skill. Kong was quite reliant on strong lures to move backwards but as we continue to work on this skill we should be able to start fading out the lure. Backing up is a great skill that can lead into several other trick skills (eg. Orbit, handstand or walking backwards up stairs). We could even start using it for backwards paws up to help build those back leg muscles!
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: For his last session we worked on drop in the classroom with food as a distraction. Kong was very interested in the food but after being told "uh uh" he stopped trying to sneakily creep towards it. He held his drop well for the most part (he did roll onto his side in dramatic protest at one point) and was straight up for food as soon as he was released. Great knowledge of drop and his markers!
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
