Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Kong’s first session today we worked on his quoits skill. We decided to work a little bit backwards today to help him make the connection between ring and pole. For this we started with the ring on the pole and got him to take it off. He did well with this, he repetitively took it off the pole. After a while of this we switched back to normal and got him to being the ring closer to the pole. He did alright with this but still struggled to make the connection. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For Kong’s second session today we worked on his middles skill but getting him to go through the front, turn around and end up in the final position. We had to lure Kong to start with to help him understand what we wanted. Since he already knew the skill it was easier for him to grasp the extra step. Kong did really well with this and even managed to do it by himself without the use of a lure a couple times. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For Kong’s last session today we had so much fun, we walked all around the property finding different objects to use for paws up! Kong smashed this skill and put his feet up on just about everything we could find. This is great for his focus and confidence around different surfaces. Kong seemed to really enjoy this skill as he is really good at it and it’s gives him a chance to explore. Focus: Repetition A+

We recommend your next step should be…
