Kong did really well today, he had lots of fun and hopefully will be nice and tired.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: We spent this session next door at the pony club! We practiced his loose lead, drops, spins and sits, chaining them all together. This was lots of fun and Kong showed some great engagement. The only thing he struggled with was - he would sometimes spin instead of sit, so we made sure to use hand gestures to remind him. This could be something to work on, getting him to listen to your command rather than predict.
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)
|Comment: We had lots of fun wondering around the property finding whatever we could for Kong to do Paws up on. Kong knew what to do each time so we really challenged him, using objects that are a bit wobbly, small or in a challenging location! Kong loved it, check out the instagram story to see his adventure.
|Skill learnt: Trick Training
|Comment: To finish up, Kong worked on his Quoits. He is showing better understanding of this skill, actually placing the ring on the pole a few times throughout the session. Each time he did it successfully we jack-potted with treats and did something else like spins for a couple minutes before going back! This helps cement the idea of what we actually want from him, instead of just repeating it over and over!
