Our feedback
Koda did great today! The trainer was able to work on the play pens and do a little off lead recall today which really tested Koda but they came out on top!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Recall | Comment: For the first session the trainer took Koda into the play pens where they did some recall off lead in a secure location. This place was new to Koda so first off the trainer allowed him to explore the space a little to get better acclimated. From here they then asked Koda for his recall, he struggled to start so to help the trainer then put the lead back on again and did a few recalls on lead, once he understood what was going on he did much much better recalling away from smells, toys left in the play pen and even kennel staff doing work around him! He smashed it today and the trainer is very impressed. | Focus: Obedience | B+ |
Skill learnt: Middle Position | Comment: For the second session the trainer worked on Kodas middles. They noticed that Koda wasn’t doing a sit when ending this position but doing a drop. This is something the trainer tried to phase out today and would only be rewarded if he put himself into the sit instead of the drop. Initially he did struggle with this but with the help of retaining the rewards for when he did exactly what the trainer was after and nothing less. Through this technique Koda was starting to do her sits into middle consistently, this skill still needs a bit more work but the trainer is happy with the progress they made today. | Focus: Repetition | B |
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: For his last session the trainer took Koda for a loose lead walk. They did this last as Koda had been worked up during his last 2 sessions and was very high energy, this in itself is another test while doing loose lead walking, a challenge which Koda met with ease. The trainer was able to walk Koda around the entire property, they ran into human distractions, smells, sounds (construction next door) all of these were easy to ignore and Koda kept focus on the trainer the entire time, the trainer was very impressed especially with Kodas ability to do sits and drops while on the walk! | Focus: Manners | B+ |
