Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: First session Koby worked on his drops. We worked outside today to increase distraction level. Koby can hold his duration well in his drop can be quite slow to go into the drop and sometimes defaults to a sit, we made sure to use a clear hand signal paired with the verbal to help him out. Keep working on his drops at home focusing on his response time to being asked for a drop. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Kobys second session we worked on his place skill. We started outside focusing on his duration, this wasn’t much of a challenge for him so we headed into the Cattery. This new environment has different animals (cats, birds and rabbits) housed here as a higher distraction for Koby. Initially he was a bit interested in them and did step off place a couple of times but by the end of the session we were able to drop the lead and move around the Cattery while he stayed on place. Great work Koby! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Final session Koby worked on his loose lead, we started out in the carpark focusing on his manners and engagement before moving into the kennels. Working inside the kennels adds higher distractions of different smells, sounds, dogs near by and staff occasionally moving through. Koby did quite well this session walking with his trainer, he had minimal pulling and was checking in which we rewarded heavily to continue building his engagement. Focus: Distraction B

We recommend your next step should be…

Attend a Basic Obedience Course

A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.

X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
