Kobe is slowly learning Loose lead with more distractions in the classroom soon we will be able to start it outside
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In Kobe’s first session today we trained Loose a lead walking, we trained this inside as he’s still easily distracted outside. We had another dog in training inside so that was a great distraction for Kobe, we will continue to work on this with distractions inside until he gets used of the distractions inside then we will progress outside.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Leave||Comment: In Kobe’s second session today we trained Leave it. First I tried this with a ball then his reward was to play with the ball. Then I started using two different types of food, with kibble on a plate telling him to leave it then rewarding him with the more valuable treats such as fritz. He did really well with this skill I can tell if has been worked on at home as Kate said with the birds. So keep training this at home and we will keep working on different things here.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Desensitisation||Comment: In Kobe’s last session we trained ‘give’ same as leave it we used two different types of treats, I found out that he preferred the kibble to the fritz and would drop the fritz for the kibble but not the other way around. After I figured out he preferred the kibble over the fritz we finally got somewhere and when I would say give he would drop it for the kibble. This needs more work and we are more then happy to keep working on this.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
