Kobe did very well today! He is gaining more confidence every time we see him and his skills are progressing nicely!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his first session today we worked on his place skill. He is doing very well with this, we decided to increase the distractions and introduced a tennis ball. We were able to roll it next to his bed and he would look at it but not jump off the bed. He is very patient, so we decided to start bouncing the ball, he broke position once but quickly realised he still gets the ball if he waits until he is released. To further improve this, more distractions can be introduced.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Leave||Comment: For the second session we worked on Kobe’s leave it skill. This involved holding a treat in one hand, letting him sniff and try to get it. As soon as he looks away from the treat or stops trying to get it he gets a reward from the other hand. The label leave it can be introduced slowly once he understands the concept that “if I leave that one, I get something better”. He did really well with this today!||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his last session we worked on his drop skill. He is easily lured into position but will not hold it for very long. To increase the duration we got him into position, rewarded, rewarded and then released. The time between each reward is slowly increased. By the end of the session the trainer was able to stand up and take one step back before releasing him. To improve this skill it just needs repetition and slowly increasing duration and distance.||Focus: Duration||C+|
