|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Kobe’s first session was place. He is doing well with his place in a low distracting environment. As only one trainer today the trainer decided to focus on send to place. Stand a little way away and saying place to Kobe. He started a little slow but before long he started running to place from about 1.5 m away! A couple of times he stopped just short but it was a good start for him.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Leave||Comment: Leave it was the second session for Kobe and he did a great job. The trainer used a plate of food and whenever he went to go to the food the trainer used leave it and yes marker when Kobe looked back at trainer or moved away from the food. At home do this on lead and use lots of yes markers when he ‘leaves it’||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Final session for Kobe was loose lead walking and he settled into this well although still distracted at times. At first he was very much all over the place. But working in a very small area and changing direction whenever Kobe pulled or was distracted meant he soon started engaging with the trainer. By the end of the session the trainer was able to use a much bigger area to work in! Keep practicing at home but keep the work area small to help Kobe focus and avoid distractions.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
