Knox's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: (Impulse control) For his first session the trainer wanted to work on Knox’s impulse control. They didn’t see any of behaviour from him during this first session and he was as happy as he usually is to work with his mate Sam the trainer! He was tethered in the classroom corner and on a place bed. Since he loves Sam so much this is what the distraction was today! The trainer would carry on in front of Knox trying to get him to get off place. To start it was too much for Me Knox however through patience and determination the trainer was able to start getting Knox to not only stay on place but actually had him making great decisions on his own (he would go to get up and stop himself and put himself back into a drop!) Focus: Obedience B
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his second session today the trainer worked on his vet holds. The holds that he was taken through today was checking over his ears, eyes, nose, teeth and even his paws! He did amazing allowing the trainer to grab and hold him in all sorts of spots so the trainer then worked on his “paw” skill to make it easier to check over his paws by getting him to give them to us! He did well with this as well being able to give his hand but he still wriggles a little bit once’s it’s in the trainers hand. Focus: Desensitisation C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Knox’s last session today the trainer finished with a little bit of fun and did some trick training! They worked on Knox’s “bang bang” skill and again focused on getting Knox to do this with the hand signal and verbal without a treat lure. Once again he started rolling all the way on to his back so the trainer made sure to encourage this to be the final position of the trick! He did incredible today and had all the same energy and charm he usually brings to the classroom. Focus: Repetition B+
