Knox's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To get him nice and locked on for the day the trainer spent the first session doing some trick training. Doing something active but engaging will help Knox get into the right head space for the rest of the days training. The tricks that were worked on were sit pretty and bang bang! For sit pretty the trainer wanted to help Knox stop reaching for the trainers arm for support. This was done by slowly luring him up and taking away the trainers hand as soon as possible to encourage him to sit on his own! He did really well with this today and is starting to balance on his own! For his “bang bang” the trainer focused some proofing it in different locations including outside, the cattery and even around the groundsman doing gardening! Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his second session the trainer wanted to try something new with Knox and so did a little scooter training! This is where they utilise his paws up skill to target a scooter, getting both is paws up on the handlebars and at least 1 foot on the scooter itself! Todays session was just about conditioning him to jump onto the scooter and get his paws up on the handlebars, however in true Knox fashion he went above and beyond today what the trainer was expecting of him and he was not only able to get his paws up on the scooter but the trainer was even able to move a little and he started putting his back paw onto the scooter! Focus: Desensitisation C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his last session the trainer worked on some obedience skills while off lead in the play pen! He was in the largest play pen today so had a lot of freedom but he still was such a good boy! He was tested in his sits, drops, loose lead walking (without a lead!) and even a few tricks like spin and bang bang! He did all of these without an issue today, since the trainer had been working with him all day he was nice and focused and it was the perfect time to do some off lead stuff due to this focus! He was incredible today and the trainer always has the best time training with him! Focus: Obedience A
