Knox was so ready today! We had lots of fun with his skills. He also got lots of cuddles from staff that hadn’t seen him since before the Christmas break!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: For his first session today we worked next door. We practiced his auto sits and heel. He showed some good understanding however could only remain focused for a few steps, so we made sure to release him after a couple steps then reset. He was quite distracted by the smells towards the end of the session so we worked on his drops to help bring his mind back to his training. Good job Knox!
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: This session focused on his sit and drop skill, focusing on keeping his back straight and not sticking his hip out. He did really well, he only needed a few reminders/resets the entire session. We practiced some duration as well as distractions while he held positions.
|Skill learnt: Middle Position
|Comment: We had some fun with hold and middles this session. Knox smashed his middles, going from all different angles and even with some forwards movement. We were able to build some duration in his hold skill (using a paint roller covered with tape). We found that if we made it a game, moving it around and having fun he was more inclined to grab it! Once he grabbed it we could then use our “yes” marker as a release and reward cue!
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
