Kipi has made some good progress in his muzzle conditioning. We hope next week to push his conditioning of the strap to get him closer to having the full muzzle on and his duration is continuing to increase.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: Kipi has improved a bit with his muzzle. The first few minutes of the session he was unfocused and was totally uninterested in the muzzle. After giving him a bit of time to settle in the classroom and a few treats he happily interacted with the muzzle and even seemed quite into it. He still tries the odd cheeky 0.5 seconds in the muzzle but he is learning we will no longer treat him for such a quick duration and he is doing it for a bit longer more regularly.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: Again Kipi needed a few minutes to settle into training before interacting with the muzzle. His duration was good like the previous session with less really quick attempts which is good! We kept the strap hanging loose from the muzzle this time to get him used to seeing it move and the feel of it against him every now and then to help condition him.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: We were really impressed with Kipi's muzzle work this session. He did well with duration (often holding his nose in there for 1-2 seconds) and he tolerated the trainer placing the strap lightly against the side of his head without issues to help slowly condition him to this next step. Near the end he even kept his nose in the muzzle for around 4 seconds for one of the attempts which is a big jump for him!||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
