Our feedback
Despite Kipi having a bad day yesterday and struggle this morning, he settled well and had very good sessions.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Conditioning | Comment: The trainers took it easy for Kipi today and started the session with a slow approach. He was not taking treats but happily approached the trainer so she was able to take him out. Starting with loose lead they slowly made their way towards the classroom and he was allowed to explore his surroundings to help him settle. When they got to the classroom there were 3 other trainers with dogs in the room so Kipi was put in a drop and the trainer sat with him offering pats as rewards. Kipi started taking treats after a few minutes and the trainer focused on charging his markers | Focus: Desensitisation | C- |
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) | Comment: Kipi was more confident within a drop and the trainer did not want to push him so worked on targeting (getting him to touch something). He would only touch the half ball if the trainer asked for paw, however he responded well to this and was continually touching the ball. Well done Kipi! This was all performed within the distracting distracting classroom and he had pretty good engagement. | Focus: Confidence | B |
Skill learnt: Conditioning | Comment: Due to Kipis recent vet visit the trainer worked on a skill called the chin rest. It involves luring their head onto the other hand where they rest it. This is useful for checking their ears, eyes and mouth but can also assist with her appointments to help settle and provide control. | Focus: Repetition | C- |
