|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his first session, Kipi focused on further developing his skill 'drop' with repetitions under distractions (food). We focused on this skill to help improve Kipi's impulse control surrounding food. Kipi performed very well, he did not break drop despite the high distractions of 6 bowls of food around him. The trainer was very impressed with Kipi's engagement throughout this session and how well he is performing with his drops. We suggest continuing to challenge Kipi at home with high distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his second session, Kipi focused on further developing his skill 'place' under distractions. We focused on this skill to proof Kipi's place and encourage him to relax around other dogs (two dogs training within the classroom). Kipi performed very well, he did not break place despite these distractions. Kipi was calm, relax and settled quickly. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: In his finial session, Kipi focused on further developing his skill 'paws up' on different objects (balance cushion). We focused on this skill to improve his confidence. Kipi began on the step, he was initially hesitant to touch it, but with some guidance he quickly began to place both front paws on it. As he was performing so well the trainer introduced a new object. Kipi was initially hesitant to interact with this object, but he quickly began to touch it with one paw. We suggest continuing to practise confidence skills at home.||Focus: Foundation||C|
