Kipi was a bit off today. He was quieter than usual and not his usual cuddly self. We took it easy with him today to allow him time to settle in the classroom.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Kipi was a bit uncertain in the kennels (didn't wag his tail as per usual) as it hadn't been long since he was dropped off so we took it easy the first session with just a place duration in the classroom around other dogs. He was a bit nervous when a staff member he didn't really know walked through so we just worked on conditioning him by feeding him treats. The staff member also gave him a few treats which he took. After a few minutes on place he started to relax more and started taking treats from the trainer and enjoying his head scratches. Near the end of his session he did break and then growled at the trainer when they attempted to put him back on place. He was put in the crate after this to chill out for a bit (he did growl a bit again when being put in the crate).||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Kipi was still a bit stressed out for his second session so we continued him on place. He was very alert and may have also been nervous hearing the mower going on outside the classroom. He only sometimes took treats so we let him just relax and adjust to being in the classroom around other dogs and people.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: For his last session we worked a bit on his muzzle but took it really slow due to his behaviour today. He did put his nose into the muzzle several times and had good duration. He did startle everytime he felt the strap touch him skin so we didn't push it any further today. Next time we'd like to go back to the level he was at last time where he was doing well with both the muzzle and strap. At home continue work on the muzzle and making it a positive experience.||Focus: Repetition||B|
