|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: In his first session, Kipi was initially hesitant to relax within the classroom, to help him relax the trainer used 'place'. Kipi loves his place and relaxes quickly when on it. After approximately 5 minutes, Kipi was relaxing and beginning to take treats. The trainer used the remainder of the session to further develop his skill 'sit'. Kipi followed a lure into sit, while in sit he has good duration under distance and distractions. However, he can struggle to go in sit, he will go into drop instead. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home, working on going into sit.||Focus: Foundation||C|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: In his second session, Kipi focused on further developing his skill 'muzzle'. We focused on this skill to better his confidence around the muzzle. Kipi place his nose into the muzzle quickly, however he struggled with duration. The trainer continued to build duration while conditioning the straps. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Duration||C+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: In his final session, Kipi focused on having fun with some tricks. These tricks included, around, touch and bell. Kipi initially struggled with around, but with some guidance he quickly began to follow the lure around the cone. Kipi performs well with his skill touch, it is one of his favourite skills. Finally bell, he interacted with the bell straight away, touching it with his nose and paw. We suggest continuing to practise a range of skills at home with Kipi.||Focus: Conditioning||B|
