|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her first session we worked on loose lead on the grass with drops. This is a great way to improve her focus in preparation for group classes. Kimchi took about 5 minutes to stop sniffing everywhere and engage with the trainer. Once engaged she did quite well with her "down" skill and some spins which was great work for her. Pushing these skills with other dogs around will continue to strengthen them for classes.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For her second session we continued work on her crate skill as she was a bit hesitant to go in a crate earlier. During this session we were able to go from throwing treats into the crate to being able to just point into the crate with a verbal cue of "crate" for her to go in. We also worked on having her stay in the crate until released with "break". By the end she was doing really well with this and was waiting for her release word after the door of the crate was opened. Continue using these cues and rules for her crate training at home.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her last session we went outside again to work on her red light/green light drops. Kimchi loves this as she loves to play with the tug. The first few times she was a little slow to drop but then by the end she was dropping straight away and releasing the tug as soon as she heard "down". Even with another dog walking around her outside she kept her full focus on the trainer and the game.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
