Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Kilo’s first session was loose lead walking. This was done by the kennel yards with some noisy dogs. Kilo took a little time to settle and not be distracted. But with the trainer working in a small area and changing direction when Kilo pulled, Kilo soon started to engage more with the trainer. At home make use of engagement games to help build Kilo’s focus on you which will then enable him to engage better when training. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Next up was place. This was done in the classroom with no other dogs and Kilo did a great job. The trainer was able to walk around the room without Kilo breaking. The trainer then started to use toys to distract Kilo. Although he needed his yes marker used frequently to start with, Kilo ended the session with not breaking when a bucket of tennis balls were dropped near him! Awesome work. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Last was drops. Again with no distractions Kilo does well with his drops. However when not in the classroom Kilo does struggle. The trainer used the yes marker frequently to help Kilo hold his position when their were distractions. At home up the distractions for Kilo’s drops. Using yes frequently if he is breaking and as he gets used to the distraction decrease the frequency. Focus: Distraction C+
