Great day today Kiki. Worked hard and did an awesome job.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Ring a Bell||Comment: For the first session Kiki worked on his ring the bell trick. Towards the end of the session Kiki was touching the bell consistently and next time the trainer would like to continue to work with Kiki on this trick to put a name to the action.||Focus: Repetition||D+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: For Kiki's second session the trainer introduced a new skill "touch". The trainer used a target skill and Kiki did extremely well with this. This is a great skill to learn as it will help to build on to introduce other tricks. As the session progressed Kiki was starting to make the connection with touching the stick and getting a treat. This is something that Kiki can practice at home. You can use a spoon or something similar and every time he touches it with his nose use his yes marker.||Focus: Repetition||D+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For Kiki's final session the trainer worked on his around skill. He is still learning this skill and did struggle with the distractions of other dogs making noise around him. The trainer would like to continue to work on this with Kiki so that he will go around the cone consistently without a lure. This is a skill that can be practice at home. Start by using a lure to get him around the cone and gradually remove the lure. Between sessions Kiki was on passive place today and did break a number of times for different distractions. It is something the trainer will continue to do to help Kiki to learn not to break for his place.||Focus: Repetition||D+|
