Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: In kelsey’s first session we trained loose lead walking outside. She didn’t do to bad at the skill she was engaging every now and then, but we will keep practicing this skill with her she has done pretty well to help start us off. | Focus: Distraction | A |
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down | Comment: Kelseys second session we trained emergency drops. At first we practiced her drops with one step away like we were going to keep on walking. Once she progressed with that we would then take a few more steps. Towards the end we were able to get her into a drop while keep walking which was fantastic. There were a few times she would get up so we will keep practicing this skill. | Focus: Repetition | A |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: In her last session we trained hold. Hold is a fantastic confidence building skill and this skill can lead to anything, and can lead to tug as well which I think she knows. She progressed really well with this skill though and is probably the first dog here that has been able to hold it in there mouths for at least 2 seconds. | Focus: Duration | A |
